I like Family Guy alot, but I think Seth McFarlen ripped off Matt Groening big time. The guy who made the long drawn out comparison here between all the characters of the two shows is right. I don't need to say this because he already did. But I will anyways. Homer and Peter are in more ways than not the exact same character. They're both fat, lazy, moronic, beer swilling losers who don't give a heck enough about themselves to make any progress in life. The plus side is both come up with some hilarious schemes that almost always fail. The Peter vs. Giant Chicken fights are classic, no doubt about it. That shows how tough Peter is. But homer has proven himself on many, many occasions to be a viscious fighter. The occasion that comes to mind is the fight where he kicks the butt of that guy from Big Brother who Bart adopts as his new dad. They're both tough guys, but Homer SImpson would Own Peter Griffin any day of the week. No question about it. anyone who says otherwise is an idiot. HOMER.
